Interface Improvements

I had the good fortune of being trapped in the house due to a blizzard today, so all of my classes were cancelled! This proved to be both a blessing and a curse. Since I had a large block of unanticipated free time, I went to town on revamping the UI in Skybrawler. I started at about noon, and I didn't realize how long I had been working until I checked the clock and saw that it was 9:00pm. So now I'm quite behind on my work for class tomorrow, but that's okay; I have a damn shiny new UI to show for it!

Click the images below to blow them up.

Some health lost; 3/7 rage bar. New character information hotkey icon in the top left, also!

Full health, full rage, and the open character information window. Shh... Lionel's reading.

  1. Awesome. That looks like a solid revamp of the old one; easier to read quickly and more neatly organized.

NINE HOURS SHMINE HOURS, I say.

  2. Many of those hours were actually spent re-doing my old code. I looked back at the crappy job I had done and almost vomited.

I also found a critical bug that was causing the game to not even load on some computers. WOOHOO!

  3. I just played through the newest version. Super awesome, though the cactoid didn't damage me when I punched it and it was spikey.

    CURSE YOU CACTOOOOOID

  4. Yep yep, there's a ton of stuff under construction, so there are lot of awkward invisible walls and missing chunks of stuff. And yeah, I fixed the Cactogon bug right after I uploaded that executable.

    CURSE YOU CACTOGOOOOOON!
And curse Final Fantasy for stealing the name Cactoid before I came up with it.
